It will depend on your needs from the appointment. Physiotherapy may be a one of appointment for understanding and advice or may require a number of sessions to rehab an injury or work towards a goal. For sports massage you may have a big event or a niggling pain. You may just want regular maintenence every 4-6 weeks.
Something comfortable and easy to move around in. The physio may need to be able to see the affected area so bear this in mind.
Items like shorts for knee injury's and vest tops/ sports bras are ideal for shoulder assessments.
Initial Appointment
This appointment is mostly about understanding what has brought you to Physio. It will involve a conversation about the history of the condition and relevant medical information, followed by a physical assessment. Depending on time remaining treatment in the form or and education, reassurance, exercise or manual therapy may be given (for massage treatment will be given within the allocated 60 mins)
